Karlheinz Stockhausen Electronic Music Festival

Thee Stockhausen Foundation for Music wil be presenting the Karlheinz Stockhausen-Electronic Music Festival celebrating the composer’s instrumental and electronic music from July 4th to 20th 2008 in Kürten, Germany

The 7 concerts launch the Stockhausen Centre for Space Music and include 4-, 8-, octophonic and 20-track works ranging from the historic GESANG DER JÜNGLINGE, KONTAKTE und HYMNEN to Stockhausen's most recent electronic work, COSMIC PULSES. His long-time sound projection assistants will be in charge of the sound projection.

The week will be immediately followed from July 12th-20th by 9 more public concerts of his instrumental and electronic music, including the German premiere of GLANZ for bassoon, viola, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, trombone and tuba, during the 11th annual Stockhausen Courses Kürten.
