Went to see Desmond Dekker tonight at the Knitting Factory Nite Klub. Awesome show & best crowd I've seen in years. Mr. Dekker's only second time ever in Hollywood was a completely packed to the gills, sold out show. The crowd was insanely pumped & dance crazed. There was more nutty skankin, moonstomping, pogoing and & plain old sweating like mad then I'd seen in a long while. He ran through all his big hit's (Israelites, 007 Shanty town, You can get it if you really want)as well a Bob Marley cover and more. This was the Real Deal - Rock Steady at its finest.
